BORI Barber Academy prohibits retaliation against any student who files a grievance in good faith. Students will not be subject to any adverse academic or administrative action as a result of filing a complaint under this policy.

Purpose: BORI Barber Academy is committed to providing a fair, respectful, and professional learning environment. This policy establishes the process by which students may file a grievance or complaint regarding any matter related to their enrollment, instruction, treatment, or student records, and ensures every complaint is reviewed and addressed in a timely manner.

Scope: This grievance procedure applies to all enrolled students of BORI Barber Academy, including students in the Barbering Program, the Cosmetology to Barber Crossover Program, and the Barber Instructor Program. Complaints may concern other students, instructors, administrative staff, school policies, or the contents of a student’s academic record.

General Statement: Students are expected to first address any disagreement, conflict, or concern regarding their student records directly with the individual involved in person, accompanied by a written document outlining the complaint and the communication. If the matter is not resolved at that stage, the student may set an appointment to meet with the School Director. All communications regarding the complaint must be submitted in writing, and all meetings and communications related to the grievance will be documented and placed in the student’s file.

made within one (1) week of the issue or incident giving rise to the complaint.

2. Informal Resolution. The student should first attempt to resolve the complaint informally by

speaking directly with the individual involved.

 3. Formal Written Complaint. If the complaint cannot be resolved informally (verbally), the
