AZ State Licensure Information

To qualify for admittance for the Arizona State Barber exam, an applicant must have provided to the State Exam Board the proper forms, paid the required fee, be not less than 16 years of age, have completed the 10th grade in the public schools of this state or its equivalent, is not subject to denial under Section 480 of the Barbering and Cosmetology Act, and has completed 1200 hours or 200 hours for the Cosmo crossover program in the course of Barbering from a school approved by the board.
